Even a child can make this cake and makes mistakes. Nega Maluca cake never go wrong. What was to be a commom night, it turned to be a dark night. Suddenly, the lights turned off but in the whole city. My daughter turned her cell phone radio and the reporters said that the blackout originated at Itaipu hydroelectric plant that straddles the border between Brazil and Paraguay, supplying both with much of energy needs. Itaipu provides more than 20 percent of Brazil's energy. Millions of people were affected by the blackout in six Brazilian states that included the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. The capital, Brasilia, was unaffected.</p> <p>My cell phone has flash light which provided light to walk, once it was a black night literally. The guards who were returned home had to come back to put order on the streets once the traffic lights extinguished, causing most motorists to nose carefully through intersections. There were many people coming back home from work, universities, schools, gyms, etc. Many people were stuck in the elavators like here. The hospitals have generator electric to supply energy shut down. The metro system in Sao Paulo and Rio suddenly halted, stranding many passengers between underground stations. A total caos! As he was driving the last nail into the<br>post, he felt a tug on his overalls. He looked <br>down into the eyes of a little boy.</p> <p>"Mister," he said, "I want to buy one of your puppies."</p> <p>"Well," said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat <br>off the back of his neck, "These puppies come <br>from fine parents and cost a good deal of money."</p> <p>The boy dropped his head for a moment. Then <br>reaching deep into his pocket, he pulled out a <br>handful of change and held it up to the farmer.</p> <p>"I've got thirty-nine cents. Is that enough to take <br>a look?"</p> <p>"Sure," said the farmer. And with that he let out <br>a whistle. "Here, Dolly!" he called..</p> <p>Out from the doghouse and down the ramp ran<br>Dolly followed by four little balls of fur.</p> <p>The little boy pressed his face against the chain <br>link fence. His eyes danced with delight. As the <br>dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy <br>noticed something else stirring inside the doghouse.</p> <p>Slowly another little ball appeared, this one noticeably smaller. Down the ramp it slid. Then in a somewhat awkward manner, the little pup began hobbling toward the others, doing its best to catch up...</p> <p>"I want that one," the little boy said, pointing to the runt. The farmer knelt down at the boy's side and said, "Son, you don't want that puppy. He will never be able to run and play with you like these other dogs would."</p> <p>With that the little boy stepped back from the fence, reached down, and began rolling up one leg of his trousers. In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down both sides of his leg and a specially made shoe.</p> <p>Looking back up at the farmer, he said, "You see sir, I don't run too well myself, and he will need someone who understands."</p> <p>With tears in his eyes, the farmer reached down and picked up the little pup.</p> <p>Holding it carefully he handed it to the little boy.<br>"How much?" asked the little boy. I had written so much and the Internet failed. I lost all. The Brazilian people like Halloween very much, but our Halloween is different from yours. We have parties at English schools and schools. We don't go door to door saying Treats or Trick because many Brazilians wouldn't understand it. I love to teach kids about it and play Treat or Tricks and I have so much fun. I love three holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. We have a holiday on November 2nd, which is dead day.</p> <p>We started summer time in Brazil, which I like the most but many people don’t. I like daylight very much. So, I can walk on the beach when it is clear at night. The beaches have lights, but in summer time we have an hour forward. Well, this is a matter of taste.</p> <p>It poured rain so much last Saturday that I had to close the windows for not wet inside. We had two holidays: Independence day on September 7th and Our Lady of Mont Serrat, which is a wonderful feast which the Saint returns to Mont Serrat Hill, but it was impossible to happen yesterday due to the terrible storm. I post a normal picture to you compare both. I intend to go up Mont Serrat Hill to take pictures to show you. From there we can see the whole city of Santos. We almost got home and the storm started. Her mother had found the PERFECT dress to wear and would be the best-dressed mother- of-the-bride ever!<br> A week later, Jennifer was horrified to learn that her father's new young wife had bought the exact same dress as her mother! Jennifer asked her father's new young wife to exchange it, but she refused.<br> 'Absolutely not, I look like a million bucks in this dress, and I'm Wearing it,' she replied.<br> Jennifer told her mother who graciously said, 'Never mind sweetheart. I'll get another dress. The sweeties on the table are "Brigadeiros (chocolate) " and "Beijinhos", which are Brazilian ones. Brigadeiro is a sweet made with condensed milk, a spoon of butter, and chocolate and Beijinho is made with condensed milk,a spoon of butter and coconut. Two out of the litter of five did not survive, and these three were not doing very well. </p> <p>Noah is a non-releasable, one-legged homing pigeon that we have here in rehab. Noah kept going over to the bunny cage and looking in...even sleeping in front of the door to the cage..</p> <p>Then, 2 days ago, I only counted 2 bunnies in the cage, so I hurriedly picked Noah up from the front of the cage so I could look inside.. And to my surprise....there was the tiny bunny...under Noah's wing...sound asleep! The bunny had crawled through the cage....preferring a featherbed, no doubt.. </p> <p>Now, they are all together, and the bunnies are doing GREAT. When the bunnies scoot underneath Noah's feathers, he extends his wings out to surround them and they snuggle. When one of them moves and they start sticking out here and there, he gently pushes them back under him with his beak!!!!!
